mps’ expenses, foi and the web


Still too busy to read this stuff in too much detail and keep up with what’s going on so mainly links again. There’s a lot going on too and as is becoming more and more common there is a social web element at play.

Today the Government shelved a proposal to exempt MPs’ expenses from the Freedom of Information Act. I know, what about transparency? Campaigners ran a massive internet campaign part of which was lead by Tom Steinberg’s MySociety and campaigners on facebook
